Certus Semiconductor introduces new Chief Operating Officer, Andres Rodriguez

Certus Semiconductor is pleased to introduce our new Chief Operating Officer, Andres Rodriguez. Andres is excited to enter the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Certus, he served in the United States Marine Corps, with ten years of active service as an infantry officer. He was also the Battalion Executive Officer for 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines in Camp Pendleton, California.

Andres enlisted in the Marine Corps following his graduation from high school in 2008, where he served in the reserves prior to commissioning as an officer in 2012. Over the course of his active-duty career, he deployed six times in support of contingency operations across the globe in various leadership and staff positions. Deploying twice to Asia and once to South America, he worked to strengthen ties with key U.S. partners. Andres deployed three times to the Middle East, where he participated in Operation Inherent Resolve, the military intervention against ISIS, and Operation Allies Refuge, the evacuation of U.S. citizens and Afghan refugees from Hamid Karzai International Airport, Kabul, Afghanistan.

Andres is a graduate of California Polytechnic University Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Management and earned his MBA from Strayer University’s Jack Welch Management Program. Additionally, he is a graduate of numerous Marine Corps and Joint-Service schools.
