Word on the street is that Apple is expecting a bigger iPhone 13 refresh cycle, maybe 20% (90 million versus 75 million). I have an iPhone 10 so I'm due for a new one but I'm waiting for 5G. The iPhone 12 was big due to the 5G connectivity but the 13 is supposed to have enhanced 5G capability. Anyone out there know details? Either way good for the semiconductor industry and very good for TSMC, absolutely. Go 5G!
Analysts say the semiconductor industry will hit one trillion dollars by 2030. I believe it, absolutely!
The mmWave support of 5G in the iPhone 13 could give you faster data rates, but the antenna needs to be within line of sight, even a tree branch or pane of glass will attenuate the signal, dropping your speeds.
