In a recent competition, a state-of-the-art quantum computer barely edged out a supercomputer, showing the growing utility of even noisy quantum computers.
I've got 300 shares of IBM, this is one of the reasons. The dividend doesn't hurt either, but if Quantum Computing takes off, they're a cheap way to benefit from the success. And given how almost every year it gains ground from "classical" computing, it sure does seem promising.
Of course, their dividend sure doesn't hurt either.
