? Are we looking at the greatest change in human history with AI/ML allowing us to automate almost everything from research to finished products using everything from robotic labs to basic robots handling everything else 24/7 changing the economics of everything? Will there be many tasks that can't be automated and how will our current social, government and business structures adapt as the automation of everything picks up speed? Any thoughts, comments or additions appreciated. Information on specific companies off the radar will also be appreciated. Also information on what areas could be immune also appreciated. THANKS
Do you remember the hype before G5? It was going to change the world and the internet. With some commons sense we could have asked: "This is only increasing the speed in some areas of the internet, so why would it change the world?
Same with AI/ML, mostly hype to increase stock values and businesses to get VC.
Doctors, lawyers, politicians, etc. will prevent AI from being used for what it should be used for. The only use for AI will be in trying to control what people are thinking and doing. After some time, AI will be like G5, forgotten and have marginal benefits.

I'm not planning on it, for in many areas I'm coming out of left field, while much of AI generated material is geared towards the largest markets. I do plan on a self-driving car in the not-too-distant future, due to age and having better things to do with my time. I took my first ride in a Tesla with self-driving, it was nothing short of amazing and the owner who works for Tesla said new versions will offer substantial improvement. It was a Tesla model 3 and we did 0 to 60 in four seconds flat with four adults in the car. It was the dual motor model. I'm just waiting to buy one when they come out with a good solid-state battery, which I see in the not to distant future.

AI maybe a hype. LLM is sure to stay. LLM will be just like database, it will fade into the background, but it will be everywhere. It may not be the next internet, but it is still a huge market with lots of money to to make.
