What will be the cost curve on VR Goggles? The interface to AI?

Just like everything in tech, the functionality goes up and the cost goes down. Any thoughts where the cost and functionality will be in five years and what the cost/performance curve will be for VR Goggles? Will VR goggles become a major interface for AI for many tasks from design to repair and in what time frame?
I see VR and AI being the next huge growth areas for the tech sector in the next few years? I feel this combination will be the next great revolution of the tech sector. Apple has been the leader for years and this is just one more step forward in their leadership. Any additional thoughts or comments appreciated.
