Hiding in plain sight: The underestimated size of the semiconductor industry
A new McKinsey analysis suggests that the semiconductor industry is poised for record-breaking growth—but for companies, success will require the right segment-specific strategies.
Based on the growth breakdown (from more in the report), only if you deliver AI data center inference semiconductor solutions. But McKinsey's numbers may me wonder "why so small" ? At GTC, Jensen said "right where I stand, I see through 2027, at least $1 trillion." for just NVIDIA alone. Maybe they are only looking at the semiconductor component, since most of the "semiconductor" AI inference deliveries from NVIDIA, Google, Amazon, Intel, Cerebras, and even AMD are done, or will be done, via large scale systems deliveries and services ?
Nenni's law is if you throw enough stuff against the wall something is bound to stick and make you famous. As long as you forget about all of the stuff that did not stick you will be fine.
