Does anyone have an idea what the strategy between Intel and Micron on 3dXpoint memory? Are both going to use their fabs? What the development costs split is? Will Intel have exclusive marketing and product rights in the beginning? I find it interesting in all the analyst trashing Micron and not one mention of 3dXpoint. Am I alone in feeling this is a major development. I do know Intel has handed out engineering samples to key customers.

Intel is more aggressive and Micron more conservative in marketing their respective products. Actually I don't think Intel will sell it as a discrete product but bundled into some system like an SSD. Micron has to position XPoint without hurting its DRAM and NAND sales.
