Summary/Objective

The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for the operations and processes of multiple work centers by ensuring all equipment is functioning at maximum output. Supervises and oversees the production processes and production personnel. Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, and counseling associates; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.

  • Responsible for management and development of manufacturing for connectors.
  • Supervise 25-30 people. Interface regularly with engineering, purchasing, lab, production, and maintenance to plan, coordinate, execute, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Responsible for On-Time Delivery, product defects, and manufacturing costs for each assigned area.
  • Responsible for insuring all orders meet manufacturing deadlines and informing appropriate departments of orders that deviate from schedule.
  • Assists in establishing associate goals and completing associate evaluations.  This includes, but is not limited, to regular feedback to associates on their performance, and disciplinary action.
  • Responsible for overseeing work schedules.  This includes, but is not limited to overtime and approved leaves.
  • Responsible for initiating corrective action and continuous improvement programs to enhance productivity within the department. Material planning to minimize scrap and waste.
  • Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
  • Review the process ,tooling ,rate and BOM is correct before the new product released to production.
  • Prepare reports on performance and progress.

Required Experience

  • 2+ Years’ Experience in a Manufacturing environment. Small part manufacturing is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proven problem solving abilities is required.

Preferred Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor/College degree is preferred.  Some college is required majoring in a Technical or Business discipline.

Training required

  • On the job training as appropriate.
  • SGN modules –SFC,WORKS,QP ,PICS, ASC/Auto tech, and expedites.
