Manufacturing Quality Technician

Summary/Objective: Responsible for ensuring quality of manufactured pins in the Plating department, assisting the Plating MQS in investigating quality issues, and supporting Operations in meeting quality goals.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Know, follow, and reinforce all safety procedures.
- Perform Setup and In-Process quality inspections on manufactured pins.
- Perform in-process audits (IPA) and set-up verification (PICS/PRISM) to proactively identify and correct potential quality problems.
- Investigate quality issues and assist with implementation of corrective actions.
- Disposition and/or contain potentially defective material.
- Perform hub leader duties as needed, including Plating line operation, line setup, and training of new associates.
- Act as Plating department Quality representative in absence of Plating MQS.
- Responsible for the monitoring and troubleshooting of x-ray machines.
- Communication shift quality issues to internal and global Plating associates.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Required Experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills is a must.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds for an extended period of time.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Must we willing to work in a chemical environment
- Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous Plating experience is preferred.
Preferred Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Some college coursework is preferred.
