Manufacturing Quality Technician

Summary/Objective:  Responsible for ensuring quality of manufactured pins in the Plating department, assisting the Plating MQS in investigating quality issues, and supporting Operations in meeting quality goals.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

• Know, follow, and reinforce all safety procedures.
• Perform Setup and In-Process quality inspections on manufactured pins.
• Perform in-process audits (IPA) and set-up verification (PICS/PRISM) to proactively identify and correct potential quality problems.
• Investigate quality issues and assist with implementation of corrective actions.
• Disposition and/or contain potentially defective material.
• Perform hub leader duties as needed, including Plating line operation, line setup, and training of new associates.
• Act as Plating department Quality representative in absence of Plating MQS.
• Responsible for the monitoring and troubleshooting of x-ray machines.
• Communication shift quality issues to internal and global Plating associates.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Required Experience

• Strong leadership and organizational skills is a must.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds for an extended period of time.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must we willing to work in a chemical environment
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Previous Plating experience is preferred.

Preferred Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college coursework is preferred.
