Wireless Microwave Powered Pace Maker, Candidate for InFO Packaging

Arthur Hanson

Well-known member
This highly advanced pace maker that's also wireless and battery free, plus far more functional is an ideal candidate for InFO packaging. This is but one example fo semis bringing us the bionic body of the future. This will be but one of many huge future growth areas for the semi industry that will only be limited by the imagination. Semis will replace many drugs and other devices in the future, plus give our bodies enhancements many have only dreamed about. Science fiction is now going to become science fact.

Microwave-powered pacemaker ditches the wires

From a pure usability aspect the patient of this new technology has to lug around an external battery pack, which is a major detriment for adoption.

Would you be willing to carry around an external battery pack for your smart phone? Probably not. Same inconvenience for pacemaker patients.

Dan, either way you have to carry a battery around. I much rather not having wires going through my skin and flesh. I would choose this option over the current option for ease of use and infection safety. Also with the current option, you skin and flesh could be torn open. This also could give you the option of a battery under the skin, recharged by induction. In the near future we may also see vampire energy sources powered by blood.
