Will AI/ML to Consume New Chip Supply? AI/ML the Ultimate Disruptors?

Arthur Hanson

Well-known member
With fabs going up around the world, will AI/ML be enough of demand drivers to soak up the flood of chips coming online? How much will obsolescence become a factor in the supply chain? Will good enough become a factor? I see AI/ML changing everything as they automated the professions, and this will become a major social disruptor with social, legal and political conflict as AI/ML massively leverages many talents and fields driving down demand. Education, politics and professions could be in for many unanticipated disruptions and dislocations. Combined with advanced memory, AI/ML could be the largest disruptor in human history. I feel it will turn into an economic arms race that will wreak as much havoc as benefit and now is the time to start planning for any great power can be as beneficial as dangerous. Any thoughts or comments appreciated.
