Having four millennial children I would have to agree with this. Since I am at the lower end of the Baby Boomers and have four millennial children my preference is closer to theirs. I would also have to lump in a tablet with the computer/laptop time.
If you separate TV time between Netflix, DVR, and live TV it would be 60%/39%/1% so I have no idea how TV advertisers calculate ROI on their ad budgets.

Most Americans under the age of 50 love their mobile phones, and say they can't live without it, according to a recent Harris Poll survey. The survey, charted for us by Statista, says 44% of US adults have difficulty unplugging from their cell phones, with the trend becoming clearer among younger people...
Steve Jobs believed you can get people to need something even if that "something" has never existed before. What an amazing person he was. He changed our world. Now we all literally live on our smartphones and tablets.. While some people beyond a certain age are technologically uninterested or backwards, in less than a decade, the vast majority of the developed world is living connected lives through their devices! There is no question that, at a minimum, the smartphone is an indispensable part of one's life today. Most people would literally lose their minds if they could not be in constant connection to their "social network" and the world at large through those devices. In fact most would be at a loss to figure out how to communicate by any other means! That's a rather unfortunate and somewhat scary situation that will have long term negative implications for social and societal interaction and development! Generations are coming who will be incapable of normal face-to-face interactions. And it's already started!
Presently we as a whole truly live on our cell phones and tablets.. While a few people past a specific age are mechanically uninterested or in reverse, in under 10 years, by far most of the created world is living associated survives their gadgets! There is no doubt that, at the very least, the cell phone is a key piece of one's life today. A great many people would actually lose their psyches on the off chance that they couldn't be in steady association with their "informal organization" and the world everywhere through those gadgets.
