Most chinese companies are still using 90-45nm node, EDA tools from 10 years ago are sufficient..
But for companies like Huawei/xiaomi, new EDA tools are essential.
Because $10K is still a lot of money for something without warranty!!Then why they all still use Cadence rips from 10 years ago without a fail?
Seriously, if the number of design houses in China is more than the combined total of the rest of the world, then why is the Synopsys and Cadence China revenue less than 20% of total!
