The Ukraine war has become a battleground for new technologies in every facet. Starlink and the internet channels have made secrets impossible and made information almost real time. Drones and sophisticated weapons with pinpoint accuracy at long ranges are real game changers. Even artillery shell now have guidance and control systems built in that give even artillery previously unimagined accuracy. All this has shown how a small country can bring one of the major powers to its knees. This is just the very beginning of massive changes technology is bringing to warfare. More than ever semis of all types and levels of sophistication are radically changing warfare. Also, satellite imagery that semis have vastly improved has also become critical in this horrible, horrific war.
It's obvious this is why China is adamant about acquiring semi technologies at all costs, as they see firsthand in real time how critical semis have become to modern warfare. This is why China is pulling out all the stops to catch up to the western powers in the semiconductor sector. The Chines leaders have fully opened their eyes to the vast power of semis not only in everyday business and life, but in conquest and defense. The western powers must now realize the technology wars are here and treat it as such.
All this is now causing massive dislocation in the semi sector having a massive impact on tech companies, their finances, planning and paths forward. Any thoughts and comments on this are appreciated. We are already seeing massive impacts on the bottom lines, stock prices and how IP is being handled.
