TSMC gets NT$67.13 billion aid from U.S., Germany, Japan, and China

The WH people are clearly learning on the fly and trying to catch up by reading SemiWiki's newly formulated Mission/Vision and analyzing its global 1.4 M participants' expertise and deep knowledge of the semi industry!

"TSMC executives have already had discussions about returning their subsidies if the administration asks to become a shareholder, the Wall Street Journal said."

Thanks and no thanks. 😃🤔

So far, TSMC has received only $1.5 billion out of the $6.6 billion committed by the US government under the CHIPS Act. This $1.5 billion is just a fraction of TSMC’s 2025 Capex, estimated at $38 to 42 billion.
