Not you & me perhaps! But the CEOs running those fabless semiconductor businesses in other countries will be worried. Also, I feel people here are overestimating the response from the West/ Nato allies to such an incident. My personal opinion, no country is going to fight another Nuclear armed nation under a dictator over this issue. They are already preparing for such incident by "reshoring"/"onshoring" the semi manufacturing back to western hemisphere.

European nations depended on Ukraine for agricultural products before the war and no nation seriously declared war when Russia invaded (with boots on the ground) other than funding & supplying weapons to fight another war. So, my base case assumption is If China invades Taiwan, all the western countries will fund a proxy war between China & Taiwan but there is not going to be a WW3 as you guys are portraying it.

100% agree. EU countries STILL buy energy from Russia.... funding their own future invasion.

I hope i am correct in my prediction that China will not have a military invasion.

I also do not think that IF China invaded, TSMC would shut down..... just an opinion.

I hope so too and hope we maintain the current status quo or even a positive development inside China without any violence.
