True creativity won't come out of AI/ML until it is plugged into labs and other data constructs that it can use to create entirely original thoughts and constructs. Building labs and research centers geared strictly for the use of AI/ML will be the final stage of eliminating the barriers humans have in speed and creativity. When an AI/ML model can do its own base research and expand on it, that is when we will realize the true intellectual power of AI/ML. Before AI/ML gets to this point we must learn how to put in guard rails and protections should it expand like a nuclear reaction that could easily get out of control and pose as many dangers as it poses opportunities. How AI/ML is handled and used will be critical just like working with nuclear power of all types, but even more so. I feel this open forum that SemiWiki has is an excellent place to start by virtue of its openness and worldwide and cultural reach. Any thoughts, ideas or expansions on this sought and welcome. Are there any companies or constructs working in this direction now? Powerful tools must be handled with great care and wisdom.
