Three Intel board members to retire in latest shakeup amid turnaround

Currently, Intel has too many board members with backgrounds in finance. This might be suitable for a venture capital firm, but it’s inappropriate for a semiconductor product and manufacturing company like Intel.
Not really. Only two are sort of finance background: Sequoia Capital and BlackRock.

Nvda board has several VC partners as directors, if you count Sequoia Capital as finance.

Among the current 14 Intel Board of Directors, there are 5 members who are coming from the finance background:

Frank D. Yeary
James (Jim) J. Goetz
Barbara G. Novick
Gregory D. Smith
Stacy J. Smith
