Both US medical and education consume staggering amounts of resources and time. AI/ML systems combined with intense automation provide a partial solution to the flaws both these systems have. If we don't change these two areas that consume massive amounts of time and resources, the US will be in economic trouble which it is already rapidly entering with vastly increasing debt. The tech sector may be far more important to protecting the economic health of the country than the military. Most great empires have collapsed from the inside or weakened to the point they are a target for outside forces.
