Exciting Milestone for Intel 18A!

Proud to be part of the Eagle Team, leading the way in bringing Intel 18A technology to life! Our team was at the forefront of running the initial lots right here in Arizona, marking a key step in advancing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing.

This achievement is a testament to the hard work, innovation, and dedication of everyone involved. The Eagle has landed, and this is just the beginning! Developed and Made in America the World’s smallest Node ...

Great news but 18A is not the worlds smallest node. The ghost of Pat Gelsinger is still haunting Intel. :ROFLMAO:

I guess this dispels the rumors that 18A is in trouble and Intel needs TSMC engineers onsite to rescue it? :ROFLMAO:

Faster than Ireland with Intel 4. Per Intel, they didn't start running the first full loop qualification material in Fab 34 until August 2023. Seems consistent with talk of much greater wafer requirements on 18A vs i4 (at least early on in the product lifecycle). Although Pantherlake needing more wafers than Meteorlake is not a particularly high bar to pass since Meteorlake has a tiny die size even when compared to usually small smartphone SOC dies and Intel talks about Pantherlake as a higher margin and volume part than any of the prior disaggregated intel CPUs. Also, so much for the narrative that Fab52/62 are surly running late because it is impossible to build a US fab in under 5 years...

They should have spined up as the Smallest node on American soil and asked for more funding 🤣🤣
