any expert here know how many fabrication plants (8 inch and 12 inches ) in the world now?

The only source I have found is from Wikipedia

However, in Singapore we have company like Micron, GF, UMC, Siltronic annoucing their new coming plants, but they have not reflected on the list, do your country's upcoming plants not capture in the list too?

I don't track 200mm fabs but I do track 300mm fabs. There were 155 - 300mm fabs in operation at the end of 2021, 145 production and 10 development.

It is all production and development 300mm fabs making semiconductor wafers, it does not include 300mm fabs focused on packaging such as the TSMC fabs running InFO.
