A diagnostic code reader for a car cost around twenty dollars and comes with a manual to explain the codes for each brand of car. At a minimal cost the diagnostics could be built into the car since the data is already in the cars computer and could be made far more precise if set up for an individual vehicle. It isn't hard to see a future with self-diagnostics built into everything with the solutions and actions needed to correct the problem. Building diagnostics into many devices, appliances and equipment could be a major market for semis and become a must have for everything from consumer to industrial equipment. These functions are already in many devices and appliances, but in most areas there is little penetration if any. This could be the next major market driver for semis, especially in the automation of everything, especially self-driving vehicles and the automation of warehouses and factories. everything. Any thoughts, comments or extensions on this sought and welcomed.
