It looks like Samsung will be first in the race to commercialize a solid state lithium battery on a commercial scale. This development is among the early steps at replacing the current power sources for power, transportation and mobile uses that make up a large part of our economy. One of the questions that has not been answered is the ability and infrastructure to recycle these batteries. Another question is, is this just another step in the advancement of batterie's performance specs. If even these specifications can be substantially improved upon, we a due for a second revolution in the tech of everything from computing, communications, IOT and transportation.
