Nvidia will invest $100 billion in OpenAI as the artificial intelligence lab sets out to build hundreds of billions of dollars in data centers based around Nvidia’s AI chips. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, along with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and President Greg Brockman, speak with CNBC’s Jon Fortt to provide more details.

all the AI deals and infrastructure build ups, such as data centers. Why do they give off a dot com bubble vibe?

Intel’s $5B puts into perspective who’s in the lead pack of this AI race 😅

Right now, I think Nvidia on the hardware side and OpenAI on the software side are the main leaders in AI. Intel is also in the race, but its window of opportunity is closing fast.

I wonder if Jensen will invest in other AI companies? He is very political. Invests $5B in Intel then sings the praises of TSMC on the call with Lip-Bu? Jensen for president!

Is Jensen paying the $100B in stock or GPU chips at list price?

Regarding leaders in AI software, I would not discount Google's Gemini. What I see of Gemini as an integrated AI force for operating also relatively small companies in the Google Cloud is really, really impressive.

Do not underestimate the progress Google is making with integrating Gemini in many of its products/apps/tools, I'm really impressed with its ease of use and it's added potential to run a company in the 21st century....

Nvidia’s investment in OpenAI is probably a mix of cash, Nvidia hardware/software, and services. Microsoft’s $13 billion investment in OpenAI, is through cash and Azure service credits.
