It is already obvious that AI/ML will be able to greatly leverage the talents of the best and brightest to levels once considered unimaginable in the tightest time frame for advancement in human history. As with any change special interests will use regulations to protect obsolete, inefficient and ineffective business practices. Already AI can spot breast cancers twenty percent better than the best doctors, where will this leave the lower eighty percent and this in just one very small example of dislocation in the professions. Once AI/ML start to penetrate being applied in robotics, look out, massive changes in society, professions and trades are coming. Special interests will do anything to defend their turf to the detriment of all and we have seen numerous times in the past and present. Any thoughts, comments or additions sought and welcome. US medical at the world's highest cost and of only moderate quality is definitely open to disruption and takes twenty cents of every dollar while delivering 37th in quality (this was confirmed by Barrons when I wrote it and publication was delayed for six weeks).
