How fast will the combination of AI/robotics take place

I see both robotics and AI becoming the ultimate powerful combination of forces to change almost everything they touch. Including verbal Ai that can walk a person through tasks I feel will be one of the fastest growing areas for the growth of AI and this will be followed next by the combination of AI and robotics. I wonder when we might see robotic drivers, pilots, doctors in the future. It looks like China is on the path in medical with a robot that does dental implants. China might find it faster to develop AI/Robotic doctors than train people for many medical tasks.

We are still in the very, very early stages of the AI/ML revolution that will require massive changes in the hardware, software and applications on a breadth and depth of scale that most can't even imagine. All these trends will feed on themselves and each other to drive progress with a depth and breadth that few have even imagined at this time. This trend will impact on wide and deep scale of education, applications, social and financial impact that has never been seen in human history. This trend will present unmanageable opportunities for those with vision and dangers for those that don't. AI/ML and the automation of everything at a speed society and governments will have to manage to take advantage of the opportunities and avoid the dangers.
