The possibilities behind these new transistors is limitless with almost more applications than I can imagine with the power to change electrical switches in almost everything, lowering cost, size and speed eventually. If these are scaled up that changes to switch gear in industry could be literally staggering. As an electrical contractor I see more applications where this could make dramatic improvements over the power handling systems by taking them from mechanical to solid state. This could easily turn into a mega market world wide. The opportunities to take existing semiconductor knowledge at all levels and scale it up are almost limitless.
