Graphen Chip detects DNA Mutations Real Time

This is but one example of other applications of semis and semi fabrication technology to move into new areas and new applications. The semi sector will see its very scope get broader and deeper, this is where some of the largest untapped opportunities lie. The semis/mems/sensor world has the proven ability to radically change the medical world at bring far greater quality at far lower costs if handled with a Silicon Valley approach and mind set. If handled with the medical establishment mind set, it will dramatically raise costs. It's time for the government to choose which direction they want to go in, for it is who controls government regulation will control the direction medical takes. Currently the US model is loosing not only on cost but on quality. As medical is one of the world's largest market, this will not only impact our health and how much it costs, but the very strength or weakness of the US economy.
