GlobalFoundries on the block?

I have just heard from a very reliable source inside the company that this is in fact true, GlobalFoundries is discussing ways to break the company up. Personally I hope GF stays together as a leading edge pure-play foundry. We need at least two of these to stay in front of the IDMs.

Sorry about that, I added more detail above. And remember, there is a long way to go between discussing breaking up a company and actually doing it.
