Frontier Semiconductor is a nominally American company manufacturing tools for wafer topography, and thin film metrology. Their tools are in use by the foundry No. 1, and that's their biggest distinction. You will never guess that by the loops of their office.

They maintain sales offices in Taiwan, South Korea, and mainland China. They take a rare distinction of the only wafer topography tool vendor with a 450mm tool.

Tool lines they make:
- 4pp: four point probe
- Adhesion tester
- 900 series: thin film metrology, including thermal processes characterization
- 500 series: laser scan based surface stress metrology
- 128 series: laser based surface topo
