Bound State in the Continuum (BIC) Laser for ICs. Comm & Medical

This new type of laser will join the lasers made from quantum dots for high speed data transfer within and between chips and may also play a key part in optical computing. This area of technology is advancing at an accelerating rate and I see many uses coming onto the market starting about four years from now. This could also be a key part of medical devices inside and outside the body and could open whole new frontiers in advancing medical science. This is just the early stages of optical ICs we are seeing, with much more to come.
