In the near future we will have autonomous AI that will operate on its own handling many tasks in the background without us even knowing or directing it. This will become part of the "Great Acceleration" that I have written about in the past, but far greater scale than most have even imagined. This trend has already started on a limited scale but will have the power to grow geometrically. Autonomous AI/ML will require great care for with great power comes great danger if not handled properly. This will be one of the greatest changes in human history and has the power to accelerate progress in almost everything we touch. We are at the very beginning of this trend and massive change that will totally change the world in almost every way from governance, business, research, education and just about everything else. How we cope and manage this coming trend will change the world in almost every way at a speed once considered unimaginable. This trend must be handled with great care for with great power comes great danger if mishandled. Any thoughts, comments or expansions on this sought and welcome for the SemiWiki community is in the best position to handle this great coming power to its most productive use is a safe and responsible manner for if not handled properly the danger could be far greater than the benefit.
