Automation key to avoiding economic, social and environmental collapse, the SemiWiki community key

With the population of most modern countries going down and the proportion of retirees going up, automation will be the key to economic survival social order. The semi sector will be key to automating almost everything from mental to physical tasks giving those that adopt it an economic efficiency once considered unimaginable. The importance of semis will be key to economic and social stability. Our whole social, economic and educational structures will have to change if the world is to stay a social, economic and environmentally stable structure. The importance of the semi sector to be key in this progress is not to be underestimated. I feel the SemiWiki community will be key players in the transformation of almost everything that will make this possible. This will be not about comfort, but our very social, economic and environmental survival. Any thoughts, comments or expansions appreciated.

This would imply otherwise

There is an environmental crisis coming but those problems will be solved, absolutely. Safe nuclear power is coming. Clean water is coming. Clean energy is coming. Believe it.

Wish these are coming 10x faster ...

I agree. My electric and water bill are ridiculously high which is a first world problem. Third world is people who do not have either. I just read that the cost of living in California is 40% higher than the National average and I think that is conservative.

What happens when all of the AI Datacenters and fabs planned for the US manufacturing surge come online? But don't worry, the billionaire club is on it! They have to solve these problems if they want to be trillionaires! :ROFLMAO:
