I've done some of my own auto repair and it's always amazing to me just how many wires and cables are connected in my vehicle, like the radio and dashboard. It turns out that one EDA company has a product to help manage and automate the wire harness issues in automobiles, Mentor Graphics.
They just announced a deal with China's largest SUV and pickup company, Great Wall Motors. This is an adjacent market to traditional EDA, and a growing one at that for Mentor.
