Apple to Produce Own Chips, Medical Next?

Arthur Hanson

Apple is seeking to replace Qualcomm and Broadcom to produce its own chips. Any thoughts if this will be the trend of the future or a one of? Also, could Apple get into medical chips and devices since this is one of the few markets that could add significant long-term growth and value to Apple? Medical uses could also add a subscription component that easily has the potential to double even Apple's size with medical being a four trillion-dollar market in the US alone, with subsets that could yield Apple up to one hundred billion a year? How will TSM deal with directly competing customers? Any thoughts or comments sought and appreciated.
