Apple Owns it Ecosystem, The Battle of Ecosystems, Let's Get Married

Apple Owns its Ecosystem, The Battle of Ecosystems, Let's Get Married

It's no longer the battle of just devices or platforms, it's who owns the whole ecosystem. It's all about selling addiction and how to get people addicted to your ecosystem. We must all learn to be very careful for ecosystems can become very abusive in terms of time and money or deliver great value by valuing our time and money. More and more this is a decision when we make it, we live with it for years. I wonder how long the average user stays with an ecosystem and stays with their marriage. With the average marriage lasting seven years, it looks like the ecosystems will win by a large margin. The battle of ecosystems is literally a trillion dollar battle that involves decades, not years. This means picking an ecosystem can be every bit as important as picking a spouse. It not only consumes time and money, but will shape our very lives and thinking, PICK CAREFULLY.

My list would be

Google
Amazon
Ebay
Paypal
Facebook
Netflix

and if you heard of them there's

Flipkart as well as Alibada

Google and Amazon act more like governments than corporations. Their policies like customer service are becoming universal. Amazon is what I'm focusing on learning right now. Facebook audience is so huge and advertisers love it. Paypal is another big one as well as Ebay. Microsoft and Apple are a notch below. Amazon and Google could decimate Apple or Microsoft if they wanted too.

Servers and CDN networks are a huge deal also. CNN and the New York Times have done a 180 on israel because their CDN network is Fastly.
