Hi Daniel,

Hope all is well. Today Apple announced M5 Pro and M5 Max, the most advanced chips for pro laptops. Sharing the key features and capabilities of the chips below:
  • Built using the new Apple-designed Fusion Architecture, the chips integrate two third-generation 3-nanometer dies into a single SoC to deliver an unparalleled combination of performance, efficiency, and incredible on-device AI.
The two dies include a powerful 18-core CPU, scalable up to 40-core GPU, Media Engine, unified memory controller, Neural Engine, and Thunderbolt 5 capabilities.

The 18-core CPU includes six of the highest-performing core design, now called super cores, which are the world’s fastest CPU core, driven in part by increased front-end bandwidth, a new cache hierarchy, and enhanced branch prediction.

Alongside these cores are 12 all-new performance cores, optimized for power-efficient, multithreaded workloads, delivering up to 30% higher multithreaded performance than the previous generation.

The next-generation up-to-40-core GPU with Neural Accelerators in each core and higher unified memory bandwidth scales performance, providing over 4x the peak GPU compute for AI performance and up to 35% faster graphics for apps using ray tracing than M4 Pro and M4 Max.

M5 Pro and M5 Max also integrate a faster 16-core Neural Engine for on-device AI and Apple Intelligence.

Please find more information and assets for M5 Pro and M5 Max here and for MacBook Pro here. Let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Lauren
