AMD and Intel Team to Build Chip

Intel and AMD have now teamed up to take on Nvidia and others by combining the advanced 8th generation Intel processor with graphics by AMD. It looks like Intel is now trying to use strategy and partnerships rather than brute force to take the lead in the market. It will be interesting to see how the competition responds to this latest effort by an Intel/AMD alliance. Competition is good for everyone and this is but one example. I wonder how long this partnership will last and what forms it will take. This is like the partnership between Micron and Intel on 3dXpoint memory(there is a buyout agreement in place on both sides). Intel is no longer going it alone. Thoughts or comments on this appreciated.

I just found out in Barron's the agreement between Micron and Intel will be discontinued either this year or next on production of 3dXpoint.
