As the world evolves, economic warfare will displace much of traditional physical warfare. China should fully realize this and it's past time for the western powers to take this into account. This change is brought about by vast increases in computational power combined with near instant worldwide communications. All one has to do is look at China to see they fully realize this. I hope both sides can get leaders that realize cooperation and collaboration will yield better results for both parties. This is becoming more critical everyday as AI and machine learning combined with extreme automation that can vacuum up knowledge and information and greatly shorten the time of new technologies and knowledge to applied to its best and most productive uses. Some legal and commercial frameworks need to be more firmly established than are current models that a not allowing both sides to reach their full potential. Collaboration and cooperation carefully thought out will yield far better results than we have now with ever greater resources are devoted to our militaries rather than collaboration and cooperation. Transparency should be ever easier as secrecy becomes ever harder to maintain with satellite imagery and everyone having access to world wide communications. AI/ML could either be used for conflict or collaboration, I hope leaders on both sides make the right choices. Any thoughts, comments or additions sought and welcome.
