AI and Quantum computing, many companies working on it, Many Questions

When I posted questions about AI chips, I hadn't considered AI as a service out of data centers using quantum computing. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. I did find this list of companies working on it, which surprised me.

 
Almost all quantum applications are in the realm of:
- optimization, especially solving quantum chemistry problems like finding ideal catalysts. But also looking at some other kinds of difficult non-linear optimizations with relatively low dimensionality but high value.
- cracking codes. Algorithms to speed up encryptions which use "elegant" math like the factorization problems underlying public (asymmetric) keys are known. If anyone has a QC big enough to do this yet in the real world, they are not saying. There are no published algorithms which help with "messy" symmetric-key encryptions like DES, so the main risks are to key distributions and signatures, which use public keys.
- key distribution. entanglement can be used to communicate qbits which cannot be intercepted by any outside observer, allowing keys to be distributed. Way too slow for bulk data.

I did not see any of those companies in the list involved in AI using quantum. And do not expect to.
