A thought experiment - "What if everything still ran on vacuum tubes?"

I found this video interesting --

The video talks about the history of vacuum tubes and that period when vacuum tubes were still improving, but transistors eventually took over. They then get into the hypothetical "what if transistors/diodes didn't work, and we had to run the world off of vacuum tubes". (Vacuum tubes and non-transistor memory tech improved more than I expected towards the end of this transition).

A TL;DW is we'd be somewhere in the 1990s for technology level at this point for general stuff - though a personal computer would probably be equivalent to a Commodore 64 by now (~early-mid 1980s), and Moore's Law would be a doubling of performance (yeah, I know - density) every 20 years instead of 1.5-2 years.

Anyway, I hope a few people find it interesting.
