Micron Signs Letter of Intent to Purchase Tongluo Site

hi all,

Micron recently announced the acquisition of the PSMC Tongluo Site. Rumors has it Micron will transform this fab to a DRAM production site.

This news is generally well received by international media as an attempt to ease the current memory cycle. I am wondering though: does anybody have any insight in what the fab produces today?
My understanding is PSMC is not a leading edge foundry (please correct me if I´m wrong on this). How does the sale of this fab impact the availability and longevity of their current production output?
