We’re delighted to be the first official corporate partner of the Oxford Food Hub, supporting them in building their mission to rescue surplus food and its redistributing free of charge to over 240 charities, community groups, and grassroots organisations across Oxfordshire.

Oxford Food Hub is at the centre of surplus food redistribution in Oxfordshire. Every day, they collect good quality, surplus food from producers, wholesalers, and retailers, and deliver it (completely free of charge) to over 240 charities and community groups across the county. Their mission is simple: to stop good food going to waste and to share it with those who need it most. By redistributing surplus food daily, the charity reduces food waste, cuts carbon emissions, and supports the people of Oxfordshire who face food insecurity. They are entirely donor-funded and powered by a team of over 100 volunteers. The charity’s work is rooted in their values: inclusive, nimble, efficient, environmentally responsible, and community led.

The new Corporate Partnership scheme is an initiative designed to forge strategic, long-term collaborations with Oxfordshire-based businesses that share a commitment to community support, environmental responsibility, and social impact. By becoming a corporate partner with the Oxforf Food Hub, PQShield will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term sustainability of their operations, allowing the charity to continue rescuing surplus food and redistributing it at no cost to over 240 local charities, community groups, and organisations in need.

Steve Hamon, Chief Executive of Oxford Food Hub, said: “We are very proud to launch our Corporate Partnership Scheme and to welcome PQShield as our first partner. This scheme is central to ensuring we can continue supplying fresh, surplus food to charities and community groups across Oxfordshire in a sustainable way. We believe that by working more closely with local businesses such as PQShield, we can strengthen community support networks and safeguard the future of food redistribution in the region. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what 2026 has in store for this exciting venture.”

Elvira Carasol, Business Support Executive at PQShield said: “We are honoured to partner with Oxford Food Hub. As a company rooted in Oxford, we recognise how vital it is to support the communities around us and help our colleagues learn more about the work Oxford Food Hub does too. This partnership gives us the opportunity to make a tangible impact in reducing food waste across Oxfordshire – an issue that affects many in our area. We hope our involvement will inspire other businesses to get involved too.”

We were delighted to kick off our partnership recently with a fun and rewarding morning wrapping seasonal gift boxes ready to be distributed to local people in need, via their network of over 240 charities in the wider area. Donated non food based items were carefully selected, boxed and wrapped with handwritten cards and piled high on pallets, ready to be delivered in the coming weeks.
