US & China interdependence vs. isolation?!

Any opinions about whether US's strategy to isolate China will be a more effective long term strategy than maintaining an interdependent model between the US/World and China?

In a similar vein , was the CCP policy to attempt to reverse engineer others machines and turn a blind eye to IP theft a good long term strategy?

Swings and roundabouts

Since they are playing to win (not win-win), yes. A win-lose strategy can be decided by a dictator in full control. Only one side can win.
