TSMC has been pushing the mature node customers to FinFETs for years now and is finally chipping away business. That and building a 28nm fab in Japan really was a shot at UMC. Interesting times in the semiconductor industry, absolutely.

Make sense. This is why UMC is desperate for newer nodes. Cue the Intel collaborations. Do you know if anything definitive has been set for Intel/UMC 6nm?
