Intel issues weak guidance, says it will slash expenses this year

Intel Foundry posted a $4.7 billion revenue but offset by the same amount of intersegment elimination (revenue generated from the Intel internal customers). That means Intel Foundry had a very small amount of revenue actually came from external customers for Q1 2025.
from 10Q

Intel Foundry had external revenue of $31M in Q1. Total Revenue .... all sources. wafer sales and packaging combined.
If it increased 10x next quarter they will be almost as big as Nexchip

The type of services Intel Foundry provides to its external foundry customers to receive this $31 million is important. For example, is IMS Nanofabrication's mask-making revenue included in this $31 million? Intel Foundry’s $31 million in revenue from external customers in Q1 2025 is quite small and it's a concerning figure.

no they moved IMS into "all other" a year ago. But the external packaging and wafer sales was actually higher 2-3 years ago.

As of now, it would appear there is no meaningful foundry customer revenue. We will revise our external revenue model and publish a new report.

@MKWVentures posted on another thread that 1Q25 external foundry revenue was $31M (10-Q).

I looked up FY24 external foundry revenue, which was $384M (10-Q).
