With a rapidly aging population, might AI/ML become critical in its use to extend our quality of life and financial independence? As a senior myself and a believer in technology, I can see numerous ways that a specifically designed AI/ML assistant could be a critical part of extending independence at a far, far lower cost and better quality than long term care facilities. It will not replace these facilities, but reduce the time in them needed. This is a major and growing market looking for solutions and AI/ML platforms could provide a higher quality of life at lower cost. As a contractor who has worked on independent senior housing, I can see where an AI/ML assist could be critical not only cost wise, but also quality of life wise at a fraction of the cost of current options. You could literally have a virtual helper extend your independence and improve your quality of life. Any thoughts or comments on this appreciated. With a rapidly aging population this is a critical area for fresh thinking and study.
No, but I did find you can monitor someone's gate or fall by interaction with the WIFI signal that almost everyone has in their house. You can even ID people using this method to determine who is in the house or an unknown.
