From robotic surgery to automated labs to just about every profession there is now few if any fields of endeavor that AI/ML combined with advanced robotics and communications that can't be seriously disrupted. Advanced large-scale memory will also be a factor for it combined with AI/ML it will soon be able to do research on a scale that no human could ever match. The ability to use brute force in gathering information and correlating it into ever more useful forms will impact every profession. There is literally a goldmine of opportunities to apply AI/ML to research any subject and apply it on a scale never imagined in human history. Combine this with processes like 3D printing or the ability to work with data bases of even staggering scale at unimaginable speeds and the opportunities for and in change are tremendous. Will data libraries of constantly increasing size become the new version of gold mines for the virtual world? How far are we away from automated research using these powerful tools that will automate almost anything? Modern communications will play a major role in linking these new ecosystems giving them ever more power. Will robotics start to advance at the same speed as the semi world ecosystem? Will the companies that link AI/ML/advanced commutations/automation of everything to their business models be the next high growth companies? Any thoughts or comments appreciated.
