What do readers feel the time line for maximizning AI/ML will be?

With AI/ML being in their infancy, how long does the SemiWiki community thinks it will take to start to have a serious impact and how long until both AI/ML become as common as the numerous standard programs that have been in use for years? My personal feeling is that this will be a race with rich rewards for those that are first to have useful, intuitive programs that have been tailored to specific tasks to unlock their full potential. There are a staggering number of areas begging for solutions and platforms that only a well thought out and debugged platform can bring. Any thoughts on the areas that are ripe for this change and an estimate of the timeline will be appreciated. Any other thoughts on the opportunities of AI/ML platforms are sought and appreciated. I also have no doubt Nvidia, AMD and their partners are already hard at work to be first to build the best platforms in their respective fields. Thanks
