Will AMAT be a serious player in 3D XPoint memory and RRAM memory and if not who? I know TSM has been developing the production process for Crossbar memory, but don't know who's equipment they are using. Any thoughts, ideas or comments on the production process for these are wanted and welcome.
The dominant players will depend on the materials used. The XPoint looks like it is being kept in-house (between Intel and Micron), possibly behind closed doors, so maybe vendors will not be able to share with other customers. RRAM is offered through a variety of materials, including the ones dissolving metal. At least PCM and MRAM have more or less settled in their materials, but the handling is still complex, and the cost hard to offset.
